Train Ride

UTA Front Runner! Yeah it's finally done...and it's finally affordable to take my kids on a train ride :) $2.50 to go to SLC, and both my kids are free. (that's round trip if I get back on the train within two hours...) Not bad.

Grandpa and the grandkids walking to the platform.
Waiting for the train to arrive. Lorraine, Alvin, Stewart, Eric, Abby and Margie.
Great Grandma and Grandpa enjoying the ride!

We visited the new UTA Front Runner train. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson and Great Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson. The kids sure enjoyed riding the train. We got seats on the top level and rode all the way to Ogden and back. They had free rides for 4 days. Chris and I took the kids on Saturday. We had to wait in line for 1 hour before even getting on. We kept telling the kids that we could come back another day when it wasn't so crowded...but they wouldn't hear of it! They were so patient in waiting. Eric was so excited, and Abby was too. It was fun to be able to go twice. I have to say the ride with the Grandparents on Tuesday was a lot less crowded and we didn't have to wait long at all.. :) Good thing.

How fun! We will have to try that when we come up next time! That's cool that the kids are free!

I have a dumb question, is this the light rail thing or a train?? Is this what they have been working on in S.L.?

Yes Heather, this is the new light rail that they have put in going from Ogden to Salt Lake City. It's the commuter train. So, it's not technically a 'train' but don't tell my kids ;)
