This is the very first year that we have actually gone to see Santa - yes, sad but true! It's the first year that Abby has asked to go- and we knew that she wouldn't cry sitting on his lap! Our little town has this fantastic tradition of having Santa ride around the city on the firetruck to wave to all the little girls and boys. Following the firetruck was a truck with Frosty the Snowman, and then about 15 police cars all with their sirens on! It was so fun to sit outside and watch them go by. They drove right past our house -but it was our first year to see it (we've always been somewhere when it has happened in the past) so we didn't know if it would go by our house...so we waited outside in our snow clothes all bundled up for about an hour...at least the kids still liked it :)
next year I'll take better footage of the parade!


After watching Santa pass our house we went down to City Hall where the kids could sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted. Abby was so excited. Eric was pretty hesitant, but went along with it anyhow. Abby told Santa she wanted a doll house (even though she already has one), and Eric didn't say anything - just starred at him! (he told us later that he told him he wanted a train)
