Well - Andrew went off his third antibiotic in a row on Saturday... and by yesterday - Wednesday - we knew he was suffering from another ear infection. It's as though his ear never heals... it's very frustrating. So - back into the doctor we went. Sure enough - it's another double ear infection. She said it's time to go see a specialist, and perhaps get tubes. His ears are just not draining! So, another doctor appointment is scheduled with an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist for Monday. I'm hoping to get some answers!!!
I've been getting together all the information I have for Andrew to make this next visit most productive... and here's how often we've been to the doctor with him since October..
October 29 - meningitis scare- ER visit
- ended up being an ear infection - amoxicillon 1o days
December 30 - ear infection - amoxicillon 10 days
January 11 - crazy rash - possibly from amoxicillon
January 25 -ear infection - omnicef 10 days
February 10 - double ear infection - omnicef 10 days
February 23 - double ear infection - omnicef 14 days
February 28 - appointment with specialist - we'll see how many more after that...
and now - throw in 2 well child checks in that time, a visit for Abby's strep and 2 more visits for Abby's broken arm (and at least 2 more in March for her next cast and cast removal)
We've been to the doctor more than enough!! I'm SO grateful I have insurance!!!!!!! We'd be TOAST without it!
the Good news... Andrew's eye seems to be clearing up on its own. We might be able to cancel that appointment to get his eye duct cleared! He's also trying to scoot a little -he loves to go around in circles - that's as far as we've come, but still a huge improvement over just sitting :) Maybe when we get his ears cleared up he'll want to crawl. Let's hope he gets to that point before he's a year old!!!!

Oh ouch, you must feel like the doctor's office is almost a second home! Things can only get better from here, right?
