Escape... to Zion

 Last week our Landlord announced that he has decided to sell the house we are renting.  It has sure put a spin on our lives and we are trying to figure out what it all means.  He says he will try to sell it to someone who will rent it to us - but then in the next sentence, he asks how much we would take for a moving allowance if he sells to someone that doesn't want to rent it out..

That leaves us hanging.  He isn't one to really clue us in on the details, time frame or what he's thinking.  Everything happens suddenly and out of the blue.  So - we don't know what the future holds.  It has really put a lot of stress on the family. 

So - to get away from it all.... we escaped to Zion!

Chris got off work at 5, we ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the car and got to Zion by 6.  Not bad for an escape!  It was so hot when we left - 105, but by the time we got into the canyon in the shade of the huge rocks... it was beautiful.  Just perfect weather. 

 There was no crowd - we had the bus to ourselves.  Andrew's favorite part of our excursion was the bus ride!  He seriously loves buses.

 Beautiful scenery - peaceful, picturesque.  I love getting away to nature.  I can forget my troubles and just relax a little. 

 Eric is in seventh heaven going on all these hikes.  He loves being out doors and hiking and climbing.  He sure loves our new surroundings. 

 We hiked to lower Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock and we wanted to go on one more, but ran out of time.

 We only went on hikes that the stroller could go on - that way we didn't have to carry Ethan or Andrew - and they were both happy as well :)

There is just something about getting away for a minute that makes it all seem like it will work out - somehow.  We have been looking for other rental options, so we will be ready to make another move when and/or if the time comes.  It sure is hard to know sometimes what to do in these cases - but the Lord is on our side and if we let Him guide us, He will!
