Our Jacobson Family Reunion was held at my brother's home this year. It was over the 4th of July. We got to enjoy the Parawon City Parade the morning of the 4th. The kids especially loved the helicopter fly over - it was pretty awesome.
The grandkids line up on the white line - you know you might miss some candy if you don't! :)
After the parade we headed up to Cedar Breaks to cool off. We explored the Mammoth Caves. The kids thought it was fascinated and hiked through multiple times. I even overcame my fear of enclosed space to squeeze out the end of it. My heart rate was a little high after that - but I did it.
I had to take a selfie - so I could at least be in one picture!
This is my sister crawling out the end... it looks tight doesn't it?? ;)
And this is the hole you end up coming out of. I should have take a picture with someone in it just to show how tight it really is.
Hyrum and Jarom helped Blue down to the entrance to the cave. They are seriously amazing - and they made Blue's day!!
Back to base - aka - my brother's house - were we enjoyed hamburgers and salads and fun under the parachute.
The kids found some horney toads up in the mountains and brought them home as pets - they LOVED them... seriously - LOVED them!
cute little guy, right??
At least the kids were cute with them. You would have thought they were puppies!
Then the grandkids got to pick a treasure from Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson. Man - those were some hard choices to make... sleeping bags, knives, fishing kit, doll house, rope, boogie boards, blankets, binoculars and sand toys were just a few things to choose from. Everyone went home with something and most everyone was happy (only Andrew had a fit... of course it was Andrew!)

Can't have a reunion without raspberry ice cream!!! YUM!!
Chris and I took the family home early Friday night to watch the fireworks in Saint George instead of staying for fireworks in Cedar City. We had a good time enjoying the show - the kids liked staying up late!
Saturday morning dawned bright and early! We all gathered once again and got to witness the baptism of McKayla. What a sweet event to see during a family reunion.
She is such a sweetie and is growing up so quickly.
After the baptism we had lunch at the church pavilions and then headed on a hike to Kanarraville Falls. It was a great hike (because Grandma kept Ethan and Andrew home for us!!) We didn't have to carry anyone! We just had Abby and Eric with us - amazing. It was fun to be with the nieces and nephews.
Before the hike - just getting ready to start.

At the falls - it was fun to get cooled off in the chilly water! Fun to watch all the kids enjoy the slides. :) I love our family of crazy kids.

The fun ended for most after a huge dinner of left overs. It's always sad to say goodbye to family! My two Arizona brothers came to our house in St. George - and we lit off some fireworks - thanks to Rich the Pyro! He had some great ones to light... and we even threw one down an uninhabited skunk hole - don't recommend that one :) It was memorable though!
Sparkler time!
We had some fun with my camera lens - I love playing with it!
Love to all my family... can't wait until the next reunion!!! :)
